Original Poem: “Poetic Prescription”

“Poetic Prescription”

   Nothing like a good dose of poetry for what ails us.

                   POETIC PRESCRIPTION
When the praise of people ring false and hollow;
When the heart grows weary with the trifles of the world
With all its vanities and arrogant, boasting pride;
When the senses have become sated with fleshly pleasures;
Soothe the raw, abraded edges of the lacerated soul;
Seek out solace in the arms of nature’s solitude;
Find healing in the restorative power of poetry.
