“Winter’s Absolution”

"Winter's Absolution"

“Winter’s Absolution”

Snow, freshly fallen from above,
Lays blanketing this sullied Earth
In wedding-day, vestal whiteness
Before the footprints first appear
To mar its flawless innocence.
And in this still, quiet moment,
All has become pure and spotless.

About poeticmeditations

A 19th-century romantic poet living in the 21st-century. The Romantic poets, nib pens, candlelight, waistcoats, and pocket watches are a few of my favorite things.
