William Wordsworth: British Library Writers’ Lives

William Wordsworth: British Library Series

Wiilam Wordsworth: British Library Series

I must confess that just as I have a fondness for caramel coconut & fudge cookies, I also have a fondness for the generously illustrated British Library Writers’ Lives series. In my personal library, I possess a copy of the one on Robert Burns. Even though written for the school library, I find these illustrated biographies both informative and entertaining compared to a standard text-only biography (even one with a few pages of black and white photos stuck in the middle.)

While perusing the poetry section at my local library, to my surprise and delight, I stumbled across one on Wordsworth and spent a few hours contentedly reading and looking at the illustrations on every page.

About poeticmeditations

A 19th-century romantic poet living in the 21st-century. The Romantic poets, nib pens, candlelight, waistcoats, and pocket watches are a few of my favorite things.
